Pancakes For Peace 2012
The Peace Panel Project exhibit at the Chico Peace & Justice Center's annual Pancakes For Peace fundraiser breakfast went well. It was the first time we had the full compliment of the 30 - 2' x 4' panels (many newly revised) all out locally since we took on the Better World Shopping Guide by Jones, and Driving Slower Saves Soldiers. We didn't offer any books for sale because we didn't want to compete with CPJC sales. The event was well attended and the exhibit attracted attention. We used our new brochure holders (with "Take One" labels), for our 911 Truth hand outs, "Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine", and CPJC's new brochure and membership flyer. Also we got to use the new petition clipboard holder attachments and we got many signatures on our two petitions. We collected signatures to (1) Cut the military budget in half and (2) to Reinstate the Fairness Doctrine. You can sign those petitions today at change.org . Check it out!

CSU Stanislaus Exhibit 2012
April 5th 2012 saw the Peace Panel Project at CSUS or "turkey tech" as some called it in it's early years. No kidding now, the campus is very impressive, ponds and fountains and an inviting campus layout. We were set up in the shade of the campus "Peace Tree". It was a windy day so we had to lower the panels again and position them carefully into the wind. We had a great exhibit, many visitors and good book sales. Dr. Elenie Opffer, Ph.D. came by and we had a fascinating discussion of the origins of Nonviolent Communication. John Lucas a videographer, and Board Member of the Modesto Peace/Life Center, came by and interviewed me and made a video of the exhibit. We distributed literature of the local peace group. Hopefully getting them more volunteers.
The Modesto Peace Vigil 2012
After the MJC exhibit (9-3pm), we packed up and headed downtown to participate in the Modesto Peace /Life Center's vigil that happens the first Wednesday of every month from 4:30pm to 5:30pm. We stood on the curb and enjoyed the camaraderie and smiles and honks from the motorists passing by. Also we discussed providing graphic files to the Modesto Peace/Life Center, so they could have their own set of Peace Panels.
Modesto Junior College exhibit 2012
We arrived at Modesto Junior College this year on their Earth Day event on the Quad. April 4th was a cool and windy day. Lesser exhibits might have been blown away, but not the Peace Panel Project. We just lowered the panels and faced them into the wind and had one of our best exhibits ever. The biggest crowds, the best book sales, sticker sales, peace pin sales, it was a good day.

Sabeel Sacramento Conference
The Peace Panel Project had a "mini" exhibit at the Sabeel Sacramento Conference March 16th and 17th.
Here is a photo of Josh Ruebner, National Advocacy Director of the U.S. Campaign to End the Israeli Occupation, checking out our new brochure in front of one of the mini Peace Panels.
It was an energizing meeting with great speakers and eye opening seminars. Sabeel is an international peace movement initiated by Palestinian Christians in the Holy Land. Sabeel promotes theological, moral, and legal principles for peace as outlined in the Jerusalem Sabeel Document."
