Farmer's Market 3/28/15

We had a great time at the Farmer's Market last Saturday, right next to the drummers performance.  That was a rocking good time.  Had a new presentation with FEAR and COURAGE up front with Chico Tree Advocates.  Worked out great!

Environmental Community Gathering

The Chico Tree Advocates were well represented at the Environmental Community Gathering at the CARD Center in Chico last Friday, March 27.  Sponsored by the Butte Environmental Council we enjoyed really great free appetizers and connected with many of the other (nearly 30) participating groups.  We shared a table with the Save Oroville Trees group and got to hear the latest from Oroville.  It was a really fun time.

 

Career Builders at Ridge View High

Career Builders gave our first presentation with Power Point to an assembly of Ridge View Hi seniors in Magalia last Thursday. We filled up a 3' x 8' table with brochures and hand outs that the students checked out after the Q&A after the presentation. We were warmly received.

We were at the Farmer's Market again for the first time this season 3/7/15.  Showing off our stuff and engaging the public.

Career Builders gets some press

Check out the latest CN&R. The next Career Builders meeting is on a special day in Feb., Wednesday, Feb., 11, 3:30 pm at CPJC. We could use a couple of more volunteers. If you like the idea of talking to high school seniors about alternatives to the military. Join in the fun.

The Latest Peace Panel

Why is this a Peace Panel?  If more people understood that our county is committing war crimes maybe fewer young people would join the military.  Then maybe one day no one would join the military and then maybe war would stop, and we would have peace.
