Beale Air force Base the day after Christmas 2011

The  Peace Panel Project joined Code Pink and a representative of a Grass Valley area peace group at the entrance to Beale Air force Base, at dawn 12/26/11, to catch the incoming crew with peace signs and banners.  Beale is a home to some of the drone control that has murdered civilians overseas.  Since the drone program really reduces murder to a video game we felt our presents was an important response.

After catching the morning traffic there we did a peace vigil, with our signs, on Hwy 70 in Marysville.  I was gratified by the positive response we got from most of the people driving by.

A Christmas Greeting

What is the spirit of Christmas if not to follow the Lord?  And yet here we go through another Holy season shooting drone attacks on people we don't even know.

Beyond Vietnam, by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

I listened to "Beyond Vietnam" by Martin Luther King again this morning, and I couldn't help but take notes.  Next thing you know, another Peace Panel.  I hope this speech gets more exposure, as some leaders call it the most important speech of the 20th century.  Wow.  Listen to it on YouTube.com

The Peace Panel Project Nevada Tour 2011

The PPP Nevada Tour 2011 finished off at the University of Nevada Reno on Wednesday Nov., 2nd.  The weather was great, the exhibit attracted many viewers; we sold books, stickers and cookies.  One viewer asked if we could make a mini presentation for their class.  Sounds like a good idea.  The interest that many of the viewers gave the exhibit makes me think we are building the movement towards peace and justice.

Why Donate to the Peace Panel Project?

The Peace Panel Project is an original and effective way to communicate information, that is under-reported or unreported by the mass media, to college students and the public.  Exhibiting since 2008 and on 5 college campuses in the last 12 months our main topics have been, the true costs of war, Non Violent Communication, the limits of TV, Ruses for War, Project Censored, and words of wisdom ( Martin Luther King, the Dalai Lama, Gandhi ).  To see the way people are affected by the exhibit, as many as 30 - 2' x 4' panels and a dozen mini panels (10" x 20") is inspirational.  So many people express their gratitude, so sincerely, for the exhibit we just know that it is making progress  "Building the Movement Towards Peace and Justice".  Yesterday, 11/1/11, we had a successful showing at the Unitarian's Fellowship Hall in Reno, Nevada.  Now off to our scheduled exhibit at UNR.
