Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Chico 2014

The Martin Luther King Memorial rocked!  The Trinity United Methodist Church was packed.  There was the "Doin'It Justice Choir", a great rap song by two guys that had it down, other singers, Chris Moore-Backman gave a ringing address, Ma Muse brought the house down and the children's choir rocked us out with Marley's "One Love" to the dinning hall for a dinner that could not be beat.  The Peace Panel Project had panels in the hallway, the dinning hall and a table display that got out peace pins and Better World Shopping Guides.  In addition to the MLK panels we showed off our Chico Tree Advocate, Mother Jones and Maya Angelou panels.

The Wild & Scenic Film Festival 2014

This year we felt like guests of the Wild & Scenic Film Festival of Nevada City.  The Producer comp'ed us tickets for Friday and Saturday nights films.  Yippee!  We set up seven panels on Pine and Commercial from 9 am to noon.  The drizzle didn't bother us but the driving rain had us pack up.  Still it was fun.  We sold a couple of books, gave away some peace pins and had some lively discussions.

We got to show off a couple of new panels!
